We are now looking for a Process Engineer (Extrusion Specialist). With a specialist background in Extrusion Technology and a focus on precision and accuracy, you will probably have gained your experience in the thermo plastics, thin film or medical products sectors.
You will be joining at an exciting time in the company’s development and will play an important role in helping to create the manufacturing processes.

You can demonstrate practical problem solving capability, with a probable background in either thin film plastics, precision extrusion or moulding of medical products.
The key responsibilities for the role are:
- Interface closely with the science team to take new developments into production with focus on scale up.
- Define operating system, produce prototypes, provide test data and evaluate performance issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Define process limitation and ensure rigorous implementation process.
- Define discrete projects and mange them to completion meeting requires time ,cost and effectiveness targets.
- Work closely with any external supplier of services ensuring that expectations of them are clearly defined and that they commit to and meet deliverables. Track progress of work undertaken by them.
- Assume shared responsibility as part of the manufacturing team to ensure that production runs smoothly, delivers planned yields, run rates and cost targets.
- Manage internal resource including technicians involved in the project.
- Be mindful of IP opportunities generated as a result of process or equipment design and capture ideas and summary data.
Essential
- Degree/HNC with minimum 5 years relevant manufacturing experience.
- Background working with products/processes where precision and accuracy is absolute.
- Ability to lead projects to completion with attention to detail as well as commercial awareness.
- Must be excellent communicator, hands on engineer and results driven.
Desirable
- CAD skills in either AutoCad or Solidworks.
- Experience in cleanroom manufacturing environments.
- Software skills in VB, or PLC or robot coding .
- Exposure to Six Sigma continuous improvement techniques.
