Dr. Michael Grätzel at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne or EPFL) invents the Dye Sensitized Solar Cell in the laboratory.

Dr Gräetzel continues his ground breaking research and in 2010 is awarded the Millenium Prize for the creation of DSSC and also a Nobel prize nominee.



2006–2008
G24i acquires process know-how and IP portfolio from Konarka.

G24i engineers, designs, a commercial next generation “roll-to-roll” manufacturing plant



2008–2009
G24i creates innovative self powering products utilizing third generation Dye Sensitized Solar Cell Technology.



2009-2011
G24i’s DSSC is declared as the world’s most powerful indoor photovoltaic module.

G24i works with Texas Instruments and other global companies to develop a range of energy harvesting products.
